This new poster is pretty cool ...

Released today by Disney: a new poster for The Avengers! Also, tune in tomorrow morning at 9 AM PST for a new Avengers trailer on Apple.

The Avengers will be in theaters on May 4, 2012.

    I'm so behind the times with movies...I hardly even see previews because I don't have cable. I'm glad I found your blog so at least I'll know what's good if I go to the movies!!!

Movie Review: Baywatch (2017)

I've never seen the TV show that the movie version of Baywatch is based on, but a few of the original cast members are brought back for cameo roles in the movie. The show initially only ran for one season, and then was canceled by NBC; however, it was later picked up through syndication. Baywatch (2017) isn't the first spin-off of the show, but it is the first movie adaptation of it, and it takes place in Florida rather than California. Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) is the Lieutenant lifeguard of Baywatch, and they're looking to expand their team by three people this year. The Friday Five, 7/17/20: 5 things I've been up to this week

Quarantine, end of week 18. I kind of wonder when I should stop keeping track—technically we are not quarantined anymore and can go as we please, but until there is a COVID-19 vaccine, I still feel quarantined. I've still been avoiding eating-in at restaurants, and I miss traveling, too. Farmers Market Penne, from EveryPlate What I've been up to this week: Buying masks.  I bought a cute mask from Vera Bradley (see pic below) and also a corgi/bubble tea one (!) from PawtyThings.com. The VB one initially showed up in a shredded package, and the mask got a little dirty too; this was my first time buying from them and I was surprised, because they have a good reputation usually. I contacted them on Twitter and they sent me a new mask PLUS filters, and they sent it with expedited shipping too—good customer service. The VB one works really well and fits well around my ears; the corgi one is adorable but a little tight on my ears.  Choosing flooring for my condo!  Things are p

The Friday Five, 9/11/20: 5 things I've been up to this week

Quarantine, end of week 26, which makes this 50% of the year. But more importantly: where were you on 9/11/2001? I still remember it: I was in my freshman year English class, and they announced over the loudspeaker that a plane had hit one of the World Trade Center towers. I turned to a friend and was like "What's going on?" and she said something like "I don't know but this is very bad." All after-school activities were canceled that day (swim team, for me), and for most of the day we just watched TV coverage. Pretty crazy that it was 19 years ago today.
