Online ordering at MOD Pizza {and a $25 giveaway!}
This past weekend, I was able to try out MOD Pizza's new online ordering system. I've been a fan of MOD for a while now - their pizza is always deliciously crispy, and it's fun to make your own at the store and choose what toppings you want. I found that online ordering is just as easy.
You're then asked to choose a time - as you can see on my phone screenshot here, it takes about 30 minutes minimum for your order, as my first pick-up time choice was 7:35pm.
You then choose your date and time (you can order it for dates in the future, not just the current date) and your store. Since I was visiting my boyfriend, who lives closer to the Woodhaven, MI location, we chose that location for pick-up.
Now it's time to select your toppings! I usually choose the same ones, but I was a little adventurous this time and selected a few additional toppings ... usually I do some combination of chicken, pepperoni, mushrooms (I LOVE mushrooms), banana peppers, roasted red peppers, LOTS of garlic, and a few other veggies. I always finish my pizza with pesto, too, which is an option near the end of online ordering.
The site will then confirm your order so you can double-check and make sure everything looks good. We got a side order of their cinnamon breadsticks with cinnamon dipping sauce, as well (SO GOOD) - and if you prefer savory breadsticks, I recommend their garlic breadsticks with pesto dipping sauce. All of their breadsticks are made-to-order, too.
I'll be honest here and say that I did have a bit of trouble with online ordering at the end - because I was using a gift card, the website kept asking me to input monetary amount (but there was no input field) ... because of that, we eventually had to go to the restaurant to order.
However, if you're using a credit card (the other option to pay), I don't foresee there being any issues.
If you do use online ordering, once you get to the store you head to the register to pick it up - which is awesome because you get to skip the line.
My pizza was delicious as was the cinnamon sticks - but that wasn't surprising, as MOD always is.
For those who have kids: MOD is now running a "MOD Mondays" promo every Monday where kids ages 12 and under can receive a mini MOD pizza for FREE, with the purchase of a MOD (regular) size pizza.
