The Friday Five, 12/1/17: 5 things I've been up to this week

This week has seemed a little long, probably because last week was so short, work-wise. Tonight I am meeting a friend to try out a Mexican place by me, though, which I've never been to, and also seeing Lady Bird, which has 100% on Rotten Tomatoes (!). I'm not a big Greta Gerwig fan, but Saiorse Ronan is the title character; she was great in Atonement and other films I've seen.

What I've been up to this week:
  1. Seeing shows downtown. Last Saturday, my family and I went to see The Wizard of Oz, at the Fox, and this past Wednesday, a friend and I went to the Detroit Opera House to see An American in Paris, which IMO is a must-see. They use over 250 costumes alone, and the dancing is fantastic. I always love seeing the Opera House decked out for the holidays, too.
  2. Writing blog posts. It's been a busy week here at Yes/No Detroit—I launched contests for Jumanji (screening passes) and Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken ($30 gift card). I'll be writing up my 2017 Hyundai Tucson Night review today, too, and I have a review and giveaway coming up with 7 Charming Sisters, who sent me a pair of their earrings.
  3. Buying and selling things on eBay and Amazon. I used to use eBay a long time ago, but I've been on a bit of an eBay kick recently. I'm currently selling my Galaxy S6 Mophie juice pack, since I got a new phone (a long time coming; I had the S6 for 2.5 years), on eBay. I bought myself an external charger for the new phone as well as a case, a fondue pot, and some Christmas gifts, including a Blu-ray and two expansion packs for a game I like.
  4. Driving the 2017 Hyundai Tucson Night. I was definitely sad when I had to turn the car back in on Thursday. Check back later today for my review.
  5. Being good at exercising, though not so 'good' at eating. I walked about 3 times this week and did zumba twice, and I plan on doing zumba tomorrow too. I woke up around 6am today with a leg cramp though ("Charley horse," I think it's called?) which was not good ... I unfortunately get these frequently. Might need more potassium. However, this week was also my work's bake sale, which is amazing (everything is like $1-2, homemade by our employees, and the sale benefits Gleaners) and I have been eating out a bit too (Gus's, etc.). So ... balance, I guess?
