The Friday Five, 8/16/19: 5 things I've been up to this week

I've had things going on like literally every day this week, and I'm kind of tired and need a break, but tonight we are going to (another) pierogi pop-up and then seeing The Kitchen, which I do want to see ... it has a great cast.

What I've been up to this week:
    1. Eating out way too much. Some of it couldn't be helped (ie, I went to Cedar Point Friday) but I've been eating way too much this week. Saturday we went to Detroit Shipping Company before seeing Schitt's Creek Live at the Masonic. Tuesday I had dinner with a friend at Sy Thai in Birmingham, Wednesday I went to BD's Mongolian BBQ with my parents as a blogger/influencer visit, and Thursday my boyfriend and I went to the Pizza Throwdown, downtown.
    2. Seeing Schitt's Creek Live. This was my first time seeing a show at the Masonic Theater and I can't say I'd go back again unless it was a show I really want to see ... although the building is beautiful, it was really disorganized, and hard to find our seats, plus the seating chart online ended up not being correct. The show itself was fun although I'm not sure if it was worth what I paid for it ... it was basically just a conversation with the actors about the show and how they were hired onto it.
    3. Cedar Point! On Friday, a friend and her two daughters and I went to Cedar Point, and stayed overnight in Huron, Ohio ... definitely glad we stayed overnight because we didn't leave CP until midnight, when the park closed, so we were all pretty tired. I rode everything I wanted to, including the new Steel Vengeance ... the only thing I ended up skipping was Valravn, so I could eat dinner, but that was fine by me.
    4. Seeing movies, but surprisingly no AMC movies. I saw two screenings this week: The Angry Birds Movie 2, on Sunday morning, and One Child Nation, on Monday at 1pm. My review of One Child Nation will be up next week, and I gave The Angry Birds Movie 2 a 3 out of 5 star recommendation.
    5. Watching the season finale of The Handmaid's Tale. No spoilers, but what did everyone think? Overall I thought it was good, and I'm curious to see where they take the show next season.
