MOD Pizza announces seasonal pizza + salad {+ $25 giveaway! ends 2/22}

Image
*Disclosure: I received a free meal at MOD Pizza in exchange for this blog post. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. If you've been following my blog for a while, you know I'm a big fan of MOD Pizza ... so when I was asked if I wanted to try its new seasonal pizza and salad, the answer was of course YES! The seasonal MOD (which I found out this visit means M ade O n D emand - never knew that!) is the Phoenix pizza, which includes a white sauce, arugula & rosemary, asiago, Italian sausage, roasted mushrooms (a new ingredient!), roasted red peppers, and a balsamic fig glaze. It's 750 calories for an entire pizza which is pretty reasonable, too. The seasonal salad includes kale, arugula, ricotta cheese, roasted red peppers and mushrooms, red onions, and a balsamic vinagrette, and has 150-590 calories, depending on what size you get. The Phoenix pizza was DELICIOUS. I'm not usually a fan of white sauce, but I do like sweet sauces (like th...

Grand Opening: MOD Pizza comes to Rochester Hills {& Pay What You Want Day!}

Image
*Disclosure: I will be attending an event at the new MOD Pizza in exchange for this post. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. The newest MOD Pizza is opening this Saturday, November 14th  in Rochester Hills, and TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR) will be hosting a Pay What You Want fundraiser, to benefit the Rochester Community Schools Foundation. The fundraiser starts at 11 a.m. and runs through dinner services, and you can pay an amount of your choosing. There will also be raffles throughout the day, and the prizes include MOD Pizza merchandise and a chance to win one free pizza per week for a year. I got the chance to check out the Northville MOD location back in August, and it was very tasty. I'm looking forward to the Rochester Hills opening too, as the decor is supposed to be very location-specific. More info: TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick serv...

Online ordering at MOD Pizza {and a $25 giveaway!}

Image
*Disclosure: I received a MOD gift card to facilitate this post. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. This past weekend, I was able to try out MOD Pizza's new online ordering system. I've been a fan of MOD for a while now - their pizza is always deliciously crispy, and it's fun to make your own at the store and choose what toppings you want. I found that online ordering is just as easy. One of the first options you see when you go to modpizza.com is a button that says "Order Online," which is prominent on the homepage. You're then asked to choose a time - as you can see on my phone screenshot here, it takes about 30 minutes minimum for your order, as my first pick-up time choice was 7:35pm. You then choose your date and time (you can order it for dates in the future, not just the current date) and your store. Since I was visiting my boyfriend, who lives closer to the Woodhaven, MI location, we chose that location for pick-up. ...

Introducing MOD Pizza's newest seasonal pizza, the Isaac {& giveaway!}

Image
*Disclosure: I received compensation (meal + gift card) from MOD Pizza in exchange for this post. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. This past weekend, I was able to stop by the new MOD Pizza, in Troy, MI, to sample its seasonal pizza, the Isaac, as well as a few other menu selections. I'm a big fan of MOD (check out my other MOD posts here ), and so I was glad to see they opened one in Troy recently—it's about a 5-minute drive from my house, and previously the closest one was in Rochester Hills, about a 20-30 minute drive. MOD's current seasonal pizza is “The Isaac," which is named after a young customer who formed a special bond with his local MOD Squad and sadly died of suicide last year. To keep his spirit alive and to spread awareness of mental health in teens, Isaac’s parents teamed up with MOD Pizza and The Jed Foundation, an organization committed to the well-being of young adults, to create a pizza in his name. The pizza features olive o...

Restaurant Review: MOD Pizza, Northville, MI (+ currently open in Livonia)

Image
Today I was able to attend a media opening for the new MOD Pizza, located in Northville near the corner of Haggerty and 7 Mile. MOD has a "fast-fired pizza" concept, where your pizza is ready in 5-7 minutes, and you can choose one of their nine classic pizzas or create your own. As you may recall, I visited Blaze Pizza (Novi, Royal Oak) in April of last year, and the concept of MOD is the same; however, it definitely has some menu items that Blaze lacks. The first thing you will notice when you walk in is the decor - I was told that it's specific to the area. When you walk near the back of the sitting area, you'll see some Northville-specific vintage pictures, like the Northville Downs one above; I love vintage stuff, so that was very cool. MOD Pizza Northville is operated by TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), and TSFR Brand Leader Jake Schostak was on hand today to answer questions and walk my parents and I through the MOD ordering process.

Spreading MODness at MOD Pizza, from November 22-27 {and a giveaway!}

Image
*Disclosure: I received a MOD gift card in exchange for this post. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. MOD Pizza will be spreading some MODness from November 22-27 this month, and needs your help! MOD will donate $1 for every pizza sold, to locally-based organizations. I just visited MOD last month (and have been previously, as well), and the pizza is always fresh and tasty. More info: TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, and its Livonia, Woodhaven, Rochester Hills, Brighton and Northville MOD Pizza restaurants, are teaming up with five locally based organizations for its annual Spreading MODness campaign. During Spreading MODness, a week in which the company and its restaurants focus on supporting at-risk youth and families, each MOD Pizza restaurant will donate $1 for every pizza sold to locally-based o...

MOD Pizza introduces Pizzas of the Week for October {& giveaway!}

Image
*Disclosure: This post is sponsored by MOD Pizza. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. Yesterday, I was able to stop by the MOD Pizza in Troy, MI, to try out their "Pizzas of the Week," which will be featured in October (one pizza per week) at MOD Pizza locations throughout Michigan. All of the Michigan MOD locations will be donating $1 from each specialty pizza, and each goes to a designated charity partner that is making an impact in their community. Each selected charity created their own specialty pizza to be featured on the menu at TSFR’s 11 MOD Pizza locations. The schedule for “Pizza of the Week” is as follows: October 1-7: Grace Centers of Hope Ann Marie LaFlamme, anchor at WXYZ, will kick off the campaign with her pizza, aptly named “The LaFlamme.” The pizza features a garlic rub, red sauce, fresh basil, Mama Lil’s Sweet Hot Peppers, mozzarella cheese and a sri-rancha finishing sauce. Her pizza will benefit Grace Centers of Hope, a faith-based ...

Celebrating National Pizza Month at MOD Pizza

Image
*Disclosure: I received a meal at MOD in exchange for this post. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. MOD Pizza in Northville, MI, opened in August 2015, and a Rochester Hills location opened soon after. This month, MOD's across the country are celebrating National Pizza Month, and I stopped by the Northville location to check out the October seasonal pizza, the Petra. A regular-sized pizza is $7.87 at MOD, and that includes all the toppings you want. I highly suggest getting an order of the cinnamon strips, as well ($2.97), with cinnamon dipping sauce, as that's fantastic as well.

Now open: MOD Pizza in Rochester Hills serves up tasty eats and local flair

Image
*Disclosure: I attended a media/friends and family event at the new MOD Pizza this past week, in exchange for this post. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. The new MOD Pizza is officially open today , November 14th, in Rochester Hills, and its residents are in for a treat: not only is the food great (which isn't surprising!), but the restaurant itself is very welcoming and area-themed. MOD has put some great Rochester Hills touches on the new restaurant. This was my second time visiting a MOD Pizza, the first one being its Northville location , in August, which also had area-specific touches. One of the first things you'll notice when you wait in line to order, here, is the huge ROCHESTER HILLS sign, to the right of the cash register; it's definitely location-specific!

MOD Pizza gift cards - great for the holidays {& $25 giveaway! ends 12/20}

Image
*Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. If you're a long-time reader of my blog, you know that I'm a fan of MOD Pizza - I've covered a few of their restaurant openings, and some deals that they've run in the past. (and Troy, MI is finally getting a MOD, I'm guessing sometime next year, so I'm excited about that!) This month, for every $50 MOD gift card you purchase, you'll receive a coupon to treat yourself to BOTH a free MOD pizza and a fountain drink, which is valid in 2018. If you're looking to purchase some holiday gifts for friends or family, this is a nice way to reward yourself, as well (or, if you want to be super generous, give your friends/family the extra MOD pizza and drink coupon, too!). MOD's pizza is always super crunchy, and I love their breadsticks, too (regular or dessert breadsticks - pictured above). The dessert breadsticks come with your choice of strawberry, cinn...

Restaurant Review: Pie Five Pizza, Southfield, MI

Image
*Disclosure: I received a free meal at Pie Five to facilitate this post. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. This past Monday night, my parents and I headed to Pie Five Pizza in Southfield for a blogger event to try out its pizzas. I'm no newbie to the "fast pizza" business - I've tried out both Blaze Pizza (Royal Oak, Novi) and MOD Pizza (Northville, Livonia, and soon Rochester Hills) - but I've been wanting to try out Pie Five for a while now, so I'm glad it held this event.
