The Best of Detroit: restaurants, activities, and more

Something that you may not know about me is that I am a freelance writer in addition to maintaining both this blog and my book blog (and I'm an also an editor for my day job, so basically I'm writing alllllllll the time).

I started writing for Examiner.com way back in December 2010, and soon after, I was invited to contribute "Best of Detroit" articles for CBS Detroit. When Examiner closed down in mid-2016, CBS Detroit continued to keep the Examiner writers on, and currently I write about one to two articles a month for them. "Best of Detroit" has been rebranded to Eat / See / Play, but it's still the same types of articles: the best restaurants, events, store,s and more,  in the metro Detroit area.

I try to choose places that I've personally been to, but sometimes I choose places based on word of mouth, or even Yelp ratings. I also crowdsource on Facebook to see if others have suggestions, for each of these articles.

{If we are Facebook friends, and you ever see me asking what appears to be a random question on my profile page ... ie, where are the best fruit markets in Detroit ... now you understand why!}

As of June 19, 2017, below is a compilation of most of my Best of Detroit (now Eat/See/Play) articles that have been published on CBS Detroit, from 2014 to present - they are a great resource if you live in the Detroit area. I went off of the link below, as well as articles prior to 2014 that I had pinned or saved.

You can also click here to view the list on CBS Detroit's site, as well. Enjoy!
