The Friday Five, 9/29/17: 5 things I've been up to this week

I'm getting sick this week, which I'm not happy about: I have a stuffy nose and a sore throat. I'm especially not happy because I'm going on vacation next weekend, so here's hoping I'm better before then.

What I've been up to this week:
  1. Driving the 2017 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited. And I went back to my peasant normal car this week (2014 Honda Accord) after a week of driving the Highlander and it was quite a change, ha. Click here to read my blog post about the Highlander.
  2. Noms, of course. I went to Grand Traverse Pie with a coworker friend on Tuesday, for lunch ($5 off coupon that they sent me via email = $4 for lunch!), and to Ashoka, an Indian restaurant, for dinner on Wednesday night, with a Yelp friend. Both were tasty.
  3. Obsessively checking Fandango. I want to see the Flatliners remake today at AMC John R, with my MoviePass, even though I've heard it's awful. However, since John R is a reserved seating/recliners theater, I want to make sure I get a good seat too—so I've been checking Fandango to make sure there are still some seats left. If there aren't any good seats left, I'll see it at MJR Troy (non-reserved seating) instead.
  4. Watching fall TV shows. A lot of my shows were back this week—The Big Bang Theory and its new spinoff, Young Sheldon, on Monday; This is Us on Tuesday; Empire, Blacklist, and Criminal Minds on Wednesday; and Superstore and How to Get Away with Murder on Thursday. Thank goodness for DVR ...
  5. Skipping zumba, which I don't like doing. I try to do zumba at my gym (LA Fitness) every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday morning. However, this Monday I had a movie screening (Battle of the Sexes, which was very good); on Thursday, I was feeling sick still so I skipped; and tomorrow, I'm meeting a friend for an early lunch so I will need to skip again. I've still been keeping up with my work "walking club," though, so at least there's that.
