This week hasn't been insanely busy, but I've still been on-the-go a bit. This upcoming weekend, I'm headed to the
Motor City Comic Con, which should be a fun time, and I'll also be sampling some limited-time offer items at the Olga's Kitchen in Novi while I'm in the area (check back soon for my review + a giveaway!).

"The Special" deep dish pizza at Giordano's, Detroit |
What I've been up to this week:
- Hanging out with friends. Last Friday, three friends and I went to Giordano's in downtown Detroit for some of their Chicago-style deep dish pizza, and then to Ready Player One, which is a "barcade" (bar/arcade) nearby. I had never been to RPO before and it was a lot of fun—you can either buy tokens there or buy drinks and food and they give you tokens. I'm a big pinball fan so I was happy to see they had about five pinball machines, too.
- Celebrating Mother's Day. My parents and I went to Outback last Saturday for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day, and later we had some cake at their place.
- Seeing movies. Obviously :) I saw Life of the Party on Saturday, which was decent (3/5 stars from me); Blockers, on Tuesday, which was awful (2/5 stars from me—and disappointing, too, since I had heard it was funny); and I saw A Quiet Place yesterday, which was EXCELLENT - I'd go as far as to give it 4.5 out of 5. This weekend, I am hoping to see Book Club with my parents, since I'll be on their side of town for Motor City Comic Con, and Deadpool 2 on Saturday night.
- Writing about my teeth. I recently reviewed a Smile Brilliant teeth whitening kit, and you can read about that here, as well as enter to win your own kit.
- Not getting enough sleep. I wake up at 7:45am for work, and I try to go to bed by 11:45pm ... but sometimes I am watching TV, or reading, or browsing the internet, and get distracted. For a few days back-to-back, I went to bed at 12:45am, and I definitely suffered from it—I was super tired the next few days. Hoping to correct that this weekend and get some sleep (8-9 hours each night).
