The Friday Five, 11/30/18: 5 things I've been up to this week

I haven't been doing much this week except eating and watching movies, to be honest. So that might make for a pretty boring Friday Five ...

What I've been up to this week:
  1. Catching up on TV. Since I had two days off work for the Thanksgiving holiday, and since not much is going on this week for me either, I've been watching a lot of TV. I finally finished Harlots (on Hulu), which was a great show, and I've also been catching up on Empire and Criminal Minds.
  2. Watching movies. I am now officially a member of AMC's A-List, although last Friday I saw Widows at Emagine Novi, which I liked a lot—I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. On Saturday, we saw The Grinch at AMC Woodhaven, which was just okay—I'd only give it 2.5/5 stars—and on Monday, I finally got to see Ralph Breaks the Internet, in 3D at AMC John R, and I'd give that one 3.5/5 stars. I'm a huge fan of the first Ralph and this one wasn't as good as that, but it was still a fun follow-up movie. Finally, on Wednesday I saw Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and I'd give that one 3.5/5 stars; I liked it a lot better than the first movie in the series, as well.
  3. Eating out and trying a new restaurant. On Saturday before The Grinch, we tried out Catrina's Taqueria in Allen Park—I had won a $25 gift card from @downtoeatindet on Instagram—and all of the food was delicious. I'll definitely be going back there at some point. It's located in kind of a random strip mall in Allen Park, though, so is a bit of a drive if I'm not already downriver. On Friday, I went to Blaze Pizza with my parents, and on Wednesday, my boyfriend and I went to La Saj (Troy) before Fantastic Beasts.
  4. Watching UM lose. And no, that's not a good thing :( I had high hopes for them in the UM-OSU football game, but instead they lost spectacularly, 62-39. Yeesh.
  5. Cooking ... hopefully. My Dinnerly box this week was supposed to show up Tuesday, but then it showed up a day late ... without any notification (I found out by using the FedEx tracking link). I was planning on cooking on Tuesday, so I was not pleased ... I ended up stopping at Aldi on the way home and getting a frozen pizza instead.
