The top ten best movies of 2018
As long-time readers know, this blog used to be called Yes/No Films, and there was a reason for that—I love seeing movies, and I try to see as many of them as possible.
I started off the year with MoviePass, which originally let me see one movie per day (before it changed to three movies per month), and I'm ending it with AMC A-List, which lets me see three movies per WEEK, including 3D and IMAX movies.
I use Google Calendar for everything, and by my count, I was able to see about 101 movies. I plan on seeing The Favourite this Friday, Mortal Engines on Saturday, and Vice on Sunday, which would bump it to 104 movies.
That's not including the Cinetopia Film Fest, in the summer, at which I saw about 12 more movies, bringing the total to about 116 movies for the year.
Without further ado, here were the top 10 movies I saw this year, listed in no particular order, with links to either my full reviews or Twitter mini reviews:
1. Crazy Rich Asians
2. Blindspotting
3. The Guilty (Cinetopia)
4. Bohemian Rhapsody
5. A Quiet Place
6. Ready Player One
7. Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool
8. A Simple Favor
9. Green Book
10. Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse
You can find all of these on my Amazon list for purchasing, as well.
What were some of your favorite movies from the year, and why?
