The Friday Five, 9/9/22: 5 things I've been up to this week

For a short week, this has felt very long, so I'm glad it's Friday, even though I don't have much planned for the weekend—I have my Crohn's infusion tomorrow so no sleeping in for me, unfortunately (9:15am appointment).

What I've been up to this week:
  1. Eating out. My boyfriend's parents were in town last weekend and we went to Browndog in Farmington on Saturday night (one of my favorites), got Dagwood's Deli takeout for lunch on Sunday, and had Los Tres Amigos (also Farmington) for lunch on Monday, and all were very good. On Saturday, I also saw my parents, and we got Hungry Howie's takeout per usual.
  2. Cooking. I had four Marley Spoon meals last week, which overlapped into this week since we did takeout/dined out all weekend, and Blue Apron this week. Next week I am also getting Blue Apron: I was able to stack a BA gift card they gave me with some of their discounts, so I ended up getting two weeks for free! Pretty nice.
  3. Watching movies. I saw Breaking in the theater last weekend—I was going to see Honk for Jesus but then I saw that Peacock also has it, so I figure I'll watch that at some point. I'm hoping to see The Invitation today in the theater because it looks super creepy—kind of like Ready or Not, actually, which was bloody but which I loved—but we'll see if I can swing the showtime. If not, I want to see the new Tilda Swinton/Idris Elba movie as well (I was planning that for next week) so I could always switch to that.
  4. Checking out the new BJ's Wholesale Club in Canton. On Wednesday morning, as part of my influencer campaign with them, I was invited to snap some photos at the new BJ's Wholesale in Canton—it's right on Ford Rd, past IKEA. It was a bit busy there because they were planning for opening day, which is TODAY (Fri. 9/9), though. I will be going back on Sunday too to snap more photos for my second Instagram posts.
  5. Lots of being poked. Tuesday I had to get bloodwork, yesterday I had to get my B12 shot, and then tomorrow is my infusion, so I need to remember to drink lots of water ... the worst part is when they can't find my veins (not unusual for me, unfortunately) and they have to poke me like 2-3 times to find them.
