If you follow me here or on my Instagram, you know I'm a foodie—but what you might not know is that I also love to cook, with steak being my favorite meal to cook. When I was offered the chance to try ButcherBox, I was excited to try it out, and definitely requested some of their beef; they also sent me some of their organic chicken, too.

The meats I received included:
  • Strip steak
  • Flat iron steak
  • Ground Beef
  • Eye of round steak
  • Sirloin tips
  • Chicken nuggets

I cooked the steaks a few weeks ago—the flat iron steak—and they were very good. I did not know that there were actually four smaller steaks in the package, I had assumed it was two large steaks, but either way, it worked out ... I had enough for leftovers.

The chicken tenders are actually some of the best I've ever had—and I've tried quite a few brands of frozen chicken. Their chicken is free-range, USDA-certified organic, as well.

ButcherBox does not use antibiotics or any added hormones in their meat, and the meat is humanely raised, as well.

Their products include:
  • Beef: 100% grass-fed and finished, pasture-raised
  • Pork: Crate-free and humanely raised
  • Chicken: Free range, USDA-certified organic
  • Bacon: Sourced from heritage breed pigs and is uncured, nitrate-free, and sugar-free.
  • Seafood: Wild-caught (Alaskan Sockeye Salmon, Alaskan Cod, Sea Scallops, Haddock, Cold-cracked Maine Lobster)

And their promises to their customers include:

  • High-Quality Meat: Delicious 100% grass-fed beef, free-range organic chicken, pork raised crate-free, and wild-caught seafood.
  • Unbeatable Value: Average cost = Less than $6 per meal.
  • Flexibility: Box options and delivery frequencies to fit your needs, cancel any time with no penalty.
  • Convenience: Great-tasting, high-quality meat you can feel good about, delivered right to your doorstep (FREE shipping).
  • Decisions That Make a Difference: Caring about animals and our planet, improving livelihoods for farmers, better meals enjoyed together.

Right now, until June 30th, ButcherBox is running a special, too: new customers get TWO packs of ground beef FREE in every box for ONE year - sounds pretty good to me.
