I have stayed up way too late watching TV or doing Wordle and other things this week, and definitely am feeling it today. Hopefully I will get some sleep this weekend. I am seeing the new
Mission: Impossible movie tomorrow in Super EMAX (Emagine's IMAX version, but huge), thanks to $5 tickets from T-Mobile's Tuesday promotion/app, so that will be fun.

Taken from the pier in Grand Haven, MI |
What I've been up to this week:
- Traveling to the west side of the state. From Saturday to Monday we stayed in Holland, MI, about a 2.5-hour drive, on a trip I try to take every year—I really love Grand Haven, and I usually stay in Holland because we go to Saugatuck and Fennville too (south of Holland, and GH is north). We had really good weather for the most part, except for a little bit of rain on Saturday for the drive down there, which was nice.
- Eating out. On Saturday, we had lunch at Boatwerks, another tradition for me, but since it was raining we unfortunately sat inside. For Saturday dinner, we met some of my friends at New Holland Brewing, and got to see their babies too, which was really nice—they live in Illinois so I don't see them much. On Sunday, we spent the day in Grand Haven, and had Odd Side Ales plus the Toasted Pickle for lunch, and ended up getting Chinese takeout for dinner in Holland. And on Monday, we went to The Southerner in Saugatuck, my favorite fried chicken restaurant, for lunch, and grabbed dinner at Fazoli's in Lansing on the way back.
- Getting my watch fixed. I have an old Timex that I love, and the back of it randomly fell off—this happened one other time, too, and that time I took it to Troy Jewelers, over near Rochester/Big Beaver Roads, and they fixed it for free. I took it back to them again for it—this time it was $5, but that's not bad. If you have a Timex, and the battery stops working, the only way to get a new battery is to take the back off, replace it, and then get the back "stamped" back on again, FYI.
- Watching TV shows and movies. A lot of good shows came back this week, including The Lake season two on Prime, which I didn't know about (I feel like they never advertise their shows!) and The Summer I Turned Pretty season two, also Prime, which is back today (but actually dropped yesterday). Last Friday I went to the theater and saw Asteroid City, which I was not really a fan of—Wes Anderson movies are usually hit or miss for me, and despite the star power in this one, it was a miss, I'd give it 2.5/5—and about 1.5 hours of the new Indiana Jones, since I had slept through a good portion of it (accidentally) when we saw it last week. On Saturday, we finished up watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom on my iPad, and on Sunday night we ended up watching Jerry Maguire, which was one I hadn't seen in a while.
As for TV, I have been watching The Lake, And Just Like That (the Sex and the City spinoff), and Married at First Sight, per usual. I will watch TSITP today, as I just mentioned, too, and I have also been watching The Crowded Room on AppleTV, which stars Amanda Seyfried and Tom Holland; Holland is phenomenal in it, and it's definitely a different sort of role for him. - Cooking. I had EveryPlate this week, one of my last discounts with them, and I have Dinnerly coming up next week. Last night I made some cumin chicken tacos, which were good, and I have the second portion saved today for lunch.
