This my one technically "free" weekend before I head to Indianapolis for Sweets & Snacks on Monday—by "free" I mean I have my Crohn's infusion tomorrow, and will see my parents and pack for Indy, but it's not a traveling weekend like the last two. I will also work a half day on Monday before heading to DTW.

What I've been up to this week:
- Traveling to Cincinnati. As I mentioned in last week's Friday Five, I believe, we drove down to Cincinnati on Friday and came back Sunday, for a friend's dad's memorial on Saturday. We got to hang out with said friend and other friends that came down for it, too, which was nice. On Sunday, we headed to Jungle Jim's, one of my favorite grocery stores (it's like Costco meets Epcot, is how I usually describe it) to buy some tasty cheeses and other things (we definitely brought a cooler with ice for that!), they have a massively huge store with groceries from all different countries.
- Dining out and getting takeout. On Friday, we got Culver's on the way down, in Findlay, OH, which is customary for us. On Saturday, we had Piada for lunch with a friend, which was a treat because all of the Piada's in this area have closed (I miss the Troy one!), and Saturday night we went to a sports bar called Shooters with friends from the memorial. Sunday AM we were all supposed to go to First Watch for brunch, but apparently it had an hour-long wait, so we ended up at Condado instead, which I wasn't mad about (I love Condado and hadn't been for a bit). On Sunday night, my husband and I got Noori via Doordash (yay that they deliver it from Clawson now!), which is always delicious. And on Wednesday night, after seeing a movie, I got us Savvy Sliders takeout, which was just okay—it's definitely no Sidecar Slider Bar or Culver's (re: the cheese curds) but is less expensive, which was nice.
- Seeing Thunderbolts at the theater. I have taken to seeing movies on Wednesdays now, which has been fun. This week, I saw Thunderbolts in Super EMAX at Emagine Novi, and overall I would give it 3/5 stars ... I am in the minority, because the last time I checked, it had 88% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes and like 94% from critics, but overall I checked my watch a lot and it wasn't my favorite Marvel movie. However, the action scenes and the ending was great—make sure to stay for two credit scenes, too (one mid-credits and one post-credits).
- Cooking. I had Blue Apron last week and Blue Apron this week, both scheduled to be delivered on a Tuesday, and both got delivered on MONDAY each week, which threw me off. Last night I made the dish pictured above, a pesto rigatoni with peppers, pancetta, mascarpone, and ricotta on top, and it was very good. We still have two more dishes to cook from this week, so that'll probably be Saturday dinner (I usually get takeout after my Sat. AM infusion) and Sunday lunch, as I'll see my parents on Sunday night.
- Watching TV shows. I binged The Four Seasons on Netflix in about two days this week and it was very good, and then I watched the 1981 movie of the same name (also Netflix). The movie wasn't quite as good IMO but is worth seeing, especially if you see the TV series. Grosse Pointe Garden Society had a new episode this week, as did The Handmaid's Tale, which was excellent, The Studio, and Your Friends and Neighbors, which for some reason technically debuts on Fridays but comes up on my AppleTV app on Thursdays (fine by me!). Poker Face season 2 debuted on Peacock too, and my husband and I watched the first episode last night, which was very good. Season 1 was also great. I've also been starting to watch The Righteous Gemstones, on HBO Max, which is a fun show.
