I can't believe it's October next week—I know I said this last week but September went by fast. Baby K is six weeks old this week and is now in size three month for clothing, at least for length.

Cactus Blossom at Texas Roadhouse, Novi |
What I've been up to this week:
- Dining out/getting takeout. On Friday, my parents watched Baby K and my husband and I went to La-Z-Boy (more on that below) plus Texas Roadhouse for dinner, which was nice. I had a free appetizer coupon, so we got the Cactus Blossom (basically the same thing as the Bloomin' Onion from Outback) and they were also running a promotion for the Novi location's fifth anniversary, where I got a card with a discount and a manager had to open it. We ended up getting 15% off, which we'll use another time.
Additionally, on Tuesday, we got Thai Doordash from Royal Thai, in Bingham Farms—they're one of the only places around here that has mango sticky rice, although I opted for a Thai iced tea this time instead. I have yet to find an entree I really love there, though; this time I got the peanut curry, and it was okay, but a bit too spicy. I do like their drunken noodles, though. - Ordering and receiving furniture. A few weeks ago, when I was maybe two weeks postpartum, we ordered a new recliner from La-Z-Boy, as our current one is about 30+ years old. It was actually delivered TODAY, which was pleasing, because they had quoted us six to eight weeks for delivery. In addition, La-Z-Boy was doing a sale, so last Friday we stopped by again and ordered a different recliner for the first floor (this new one is for the nursery, on the second floor). We were also quoted six to eight weeks for that one, so we'll see how fast it shows up.
- Watching TV and movies. A lot of new/good ones this week. I finished up The Girlfriend, on Prime, which was great, and I started reading the book. I also started The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, on Hulu, which is fabulous, but I wish I had waited two more weeks, because it had two more episodes that were not released yet, when I started watching it; I've now watched this week's episode, so there's one more left. I also started Hostage, on Netflix, which is a limited series and only has five episodes, and I started the movie All of You on AppleTV yesterday, with Brett Goldstein from Ted Lasso in it, which has been good; I still have about half an hour left in it, because I now watch TV/movies in chunks when I am pumping, usually. The Morning Show, High Potential, and Only Murders in the Building all had new episodes this week too.
- Lots of appointments. On Monday, I had a virtual visit with my GI doctor, and I thought I set my alarm for 9 am—turns out I set it for 9 *pm* and I woke up at 9:58am, which was pretty terrible, LOL. Thankfully, my doctor sometimes runs late, and was about 20 minutes late that day, so I was able to have time to use the bathroom and grab some food before she showed up to the appointment. Yesterday, my husband and Baby K and I drove up to Waterford, to pick up his car from the shop, too, as he was having some paint work done on it.
- CVS photo magnet deal. CVS is currently running a deal where a 4" x 6" photo magnet is only $1 ($1.06 with tax) ... the normal price is $3.99 so that's a pretty good deal. Use code 1FORFALL to redeem it, and it expires October 4th. I've found you can make an unlimited number of magnets with it, too!
