Yes/No Detroit

I feel like November flew by, and here we are in December. My whole household has been sick this week, so we recruited my MIL to come in from Indiana, and it has been nice to actually get some sleep, I've been getting maybe seven non-consecutive hours per night.  What I've been up to this week: Being sick. Pretty sure Baby K picked up something at daycare, as she's had a stuffy nose for weeks now, and infected both my husband and myself; he's coming out on the other side of it soon, but I'm kind of in the midst of it, which isn't good since we are going to Indiana and then Louisville next week for vacation (Baby K will be staying with my in-laws). I've been having to reschedule work videos, too, because I had no voice; today is a bit better, but I've developed a small cough, ugh.  Going to the clurb (LOL). Is it Friday already? I am still on work break until Monday, so half the time I don't know what day it is, haha, but welcome to 2025! January is a busy month for me, with my birthday on the 13th and our trip to Mexico upcoming too. Since I didn't do a Friday Five last week, due to traveling, I will incoporate some of those events into this week's, too. Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Little Caesars Arena, Detroit What I've been up to the past two weeks: Seeing the TSO at Little Caesars Arena . Last week, on Saturday, my husband and I saw the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) at LCA—this was my TENTH (!) year seeing them, and I've been going since they used to perform at the Palace. I am lucky enough to go with blogger tickets yearly, and they are usually floor seats, with an amazing view. Parking was a bit crazy this year—I always purchase Detroit parking ahead of time, through the Parkwhiz app, but they had workers routing traffic and I got stuck in a loop—but the show itse...

Today is my last day of work for 2024—I restart on January 6th—and I'm looking forward to getting some sleep. I have a fun day planned today, also: I'll be back in the Clawson/Troy area to do some errands, and then will get Pink Garlic takeout for dinner, which is one of my faves. Sidecar Slider Bar, Birmingham What I've been up to this week: Dining out/getting takeout. Last Friday, I worked in the office—we are required to come in once per month, and it's in Birmingham—and had lunch at Sidecar Slider Bar, one of my favorites, with a coworker friend. My husband and I do DoorDash a lot from their Farmington location, but the cheese curds were *extra* poofy and delicious on Friday since they were nice and fresh. On Saturday, I had Hungry Howie's takeout with my parents, and on Sunday, my husband and I got Portillo's takeout—we both had a free sandwich coupon to use, that we got at a Yelp event at the Sterling Heights location in *January 2023*, which was expiring ...
