The Friday Five, 12/5/25: 5 things I've been up to this week

I feel like November flew by, and here we are in December. My whole household has been sick this week, so we recruited my MIL to come in from Indiana, and it has been nice to actually get some sleep, I've been getting maybe seven non-consecutive hours per night.

What I've been up to this week:
  1. Being sick. Pretty sure Baby K picked up something at daycare, as she's had a stuffy nose for weeks now, and infected both my husband and myself; he's coming out on the other side of it soon, but I'm kind of in the midst of it, which isn't good since we are going to Indiana and then Louisville next week for vacation (Baby K will be staying with my in-laws). I've been having to reschedule work videos, too, because I had no voice; today is a bit better, but I've developed a small cough, ugh.
  2. Going to the clurb (LOL). Last Friday, my parents babysat Baby K while my husband and I went to Sam's Club, to get some formula that was on sale. They also still have a fabulous deal on Carter's clothing, it's like $6.33 for onesies (Carter's normal sale price is $8 on their website, but sometimes can be cheaper), so I bought two more for her, even though she already has an obscene amount, lol.
  3. Getting Doordash. On Sunday, we got Doordash from Noori (Korean chicken place, one of my faves, especially in Clawson), and last night, my MIL and husband and I got delivery from Thai Fresh, in Northville, which has become our go-to Thai place for delivery, because it's affordable and also their peanut noodles dish is very good. We also got the panang curry, but even when I say no spice it's kinda spicy for me, so may go back to drunken noodles again in the future, instead.
  4. Watching Christmas movies. I finally got to watch A Merry Little Ex-Mas, on Netflix, and it was cute but way too predictable; fabulous cast of '90s-era ladies though, including Alicia Silverstone and Melissa Joan Hart. I watched Oh. What. Fun. on Prime yesterday and enjoyed that more—it has Michelle Pfeiffer plus a slew of other talented actors, like Chloe Moretz, and it was almost a reverse Home Alone, where the mom accidentally gets left at home during a Christmas show. I also started Jingle Bell Heist, on Netflix, but it didn't really keep my attention, so I haven't returned to it.
  5. Watching TV shows. I am all caught up on Loot, Palm Royale, Abbott Elementary, and Shifting Gears, I believe, and still a few weeks behind on Matlock. I am not sure if there's a new DMV episode this week but I should check, that show is hilarious. There should be a new Pluribus out today too, and that's quickly becoming one of my favorite current shows, as the plot is super unique, IMO.
