Yes/No Detroit

This was my fourth year attending a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert , but my first at the new Little Caesars Arena. It was also my second time at LCA (I went to a Halsey concert a few months ago there) and it's a great new arena, located right in the heart of downtown Detroit. We ended up having floor seats, which I've actually had for the past three TSO shows, as well, and our seats were amazing. LCA is divided into the lower bowl, upper bowl, and floor (though obviously for sports events there is no floor seating available). The new arena also has a variety of food and drink places if you want to grab something to eat before the show. I did notice after the Halsey show I attended that the eateries tend to shut down immediately after the show, though. The TSO shows I've attended in the past have always been amazing, and this one was...

Although I have been to a murder-mystery party at a friend's house before, I had never been to an "official" murder-mystery dinner, so I was excited to try out The Murder-Mystery Company's show in Eastpointe, MI this past weekend. We arrived at Eastpointe Manor around 6:30 - technically, the line starts at 6:30 for VIP ticket holders, which we were, and 6:40 for non-VIP. When we arrived, however, there was already a line, so make sure to arrive early if you attend a show.

The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. I was able to check out Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove yesterday at the Palace of Auburn Hills (Detroit area), and it was a fun show. There were some franchises that performed that I hadn't yet seen at a Disney On Ice show before, such as Alice in Wonderland (see pic above) and the Toy Story crew. Green men from Toy Story I will say that although overall I liked the show, the second half was the stronger of the two, so make sure to stay through the end for that - The Lion King, Aladdin, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves  were performed, among others (the dwarves were my favorite! so cute), and I enjoyed the second half more than the first. *Disclosure: I received media credentials to attend MCCC. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. I wasn't sure what to expect from the Motor City Comic Con, since my only experience thus far with fan conventions was Walker Stalker Con in Atlanta last October. MCCC had a lot more "cosplay" (people dressed up in costumes) than WSC did, which was fun, but was also a bit smaller, although I've heard it's twice the size it was in previous years. On Friday , the first day of the convention, I walked around to get a feel of the place and check out where everything was located. I saw many Walking Dead  cast members, such as Chandler Riggs (Carl), Steven Yeun (Glenn), and Scott Wilson (Hershel), and other oldies but goodies like Lou Ferrigno (the "Hulk") and Dawn Wells (Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island ).

The circus is in town, as of last night, and I was able to attend opening night at the Palace of Auburn Hills (Detroit area). I had attended the circus last year as well, and although I ultimately enjoyed the acts more that year, this year had many amazing acrobats, animals, and more. I will say we left at intermission this year, because I was tired (I'm battling an ongoing cold) and I'm headed to Dearborn for a staycation starting today (follow along with #EcoTravelwithadoba!) and had to pack for that. Last night I attended Disney On Ice presents "Let's Celebrate!" at the Palace of Auburn Hills. I am no stranger to Disney On Ice - the previous time I went was last March , but I have been in previous years as well. It focused on a few of the individual Disney characters/shows at first, and then it moved on to holidays. Most picture credits are from a friend of mine, who took great pics with the zoom on her digital camera! I was surprised but happy to see the Toy Story  crew in this show, since technically they are Disney/Pixar, and I also I had no idea that The Nightmare Before Christmas  was a Disney movie!
