I didn't know much about A Man Called Otto  going into it, except I had a suspicion it was based off the book  A Man Called Ove , and I was right. The book was first made into a movie in 2016 (currently streaming on Prime ), and this is the American adaptation of the book, starring Tom Hanks. Otto Anderson (Hanks) lives alone and is a cranky older man. He shows up at his job for his last day, presumably because he's retiring, then we found out he took a buyout package once his much-younger protegee got promoted to be his boss. He does "rounds" every morning in which he yells at passerby breaking the rules, moves recyclables around to the correct recycling bins, and judges everyone. There is nothing left for him in this world, and after his last day of work, he attempts to commit suicide—and fails. However, when a new family moves in across the street, and he becomes close with them, he does find that life, perhaps, may still be worth living.  Hanks is great in everyth...

I went into Bullet Train  fairly blind—I knew Brad Pitt was in it, but didn't know about the A-listers in the supporting cast, and I knew it took place upon a train in Japan. What I didn't know, however, was that about 50-75% of the movie takes place on the train (and the rest is told in flashbacks), which made for a very compelling film.  We are introduced to the characters in this film via codenames, as a good portion of them are assassins/spies. "Ladybug" (Pitt) takes a last-minute job from a colleague; his assignment is to board the bullet train, look for a suitcase with a train sticker on it, grab the suitcase, and depart the train. I'm usually a big fan of Tarantino's films—the Kill Bill series, especially—so it came to no surprise to me that I enjoyed  Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood , despite the 2 hours, 41 minute runtime. I did check my watch a few times throughout, but I attended the screening with my mom and she mentioned that she felt like the time flew by, since the movie was so good. (Fictional) TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) is feeling like a washed-up has-been. He used to be a pretty famous TV star, but now he's struggling to get work. His former stunt double, Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), is now his driver and valet, since Dalton lost his license due to a DUI, and Booth drives him around town and to auditions. Dalton owns his own home, and notices that movie star Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie) has moved in up the road; he doesn't actually know her, and he's a little starstruck by this. I'm a big fan of the rebooted Spider-Man series, with Tom Holland in the lead role, and I enjoyed him in Spider-Man: Homecoming . However, I'm going to make a bold statement: I enjoyed this Spider-Man movie more than Avengers: Endgame , probably because it has a lot more humor in it. Peter Parker (Holland), aka Spider-Man, is excited to go on his class trip to Europe - his plan is to buy a Black Dahlia necklace for MJ, and present it to her on top of the Eiffel Tower, while declaring his love (okay, his "like") for her. However, things definitely don't go according to plan, as Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) needs Peter Parker to battle a new threat, along with Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), a newcomer onto the Avengers scene. Not everything is as it seems, though, and Peter soon figures out that there are other threats that need to be taken care of. Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler in Don Peyote *Disclosure: I was provided with a screener link for this movie for reviewing purposes. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own. I had not heard of the film Don Peyote  before receiving a screener link to watch it, but from the trailer it looked like your typical stoner movie. Unfortunately, it was less coherent than I expected it to be, and overall it's not one I can recommend to watch. It's hard for me to even attempt to describe this film's synopsis, so instead I'll give you IMDb's: DON PEYOTE tells the story of Warren Allman, an unemployed stoner who finally finds a purpose in life after an unpleasant encounter with a homeless man preaching the end is near. Fueled by vivid apocalyptic dreams, Warren becomes obsessed with 2012 doomsday theories and decides to make a documentary on the subject while his fiance is busy planning their wedding.
