Michigan-filmed "Ides of March" to open Venice Film Festival

Clooney directs "Ides of March," coming to
Venice on August 31st, 2011
On August 31st, The Ides of March will open the 68th Venice Film Festival in Italy. George Clooney directed the film and it was shot in Ohio and the Detroit-area (including Bloomfield Hills and Ann Arbor) in February and March. I was an extra in one of the Bloomfield Hills scenes, so I am excited to see the movie when it opens in the U.S. on October 7th.

Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Evan Rachel Wood, and Max Minghella also star.
