When a pair of low-level criminals kidnap the wife of a corrupt real-estate developer, they get both more and less than they bargained for in Life of Crime, a dark caper comedy based on legendary author Elmore Leonard’s novel The Switch. Starring Jennifer Aniston, John Hawkes, yasiin bey, Mark Boone Junior, Isla Fisher, Will Forte and Tim Robbins, Life of Crime is packed with the outrageously eccentric characters, black comedy and unexpected twists that earned Leonard a reputation as one of America’s sharpest and funniest crime writers.
Mickey Dawson (Jennifer Aniston), the wife of crooked real-estate developer Frank Dawson (Tim Robbins), is kidnapped by two common criminals (yasiin bey and Jon Hawkes), who intend to hold her for a $1 million ransom and extort her husband with inside information about his illegal business dealings. But Frank, who is holed up in the Bahamas with his mistress, decides he’d rather not get his wife back, setting off a sequence of double-crosses and plot twists that could only come from the mind of master storyteller Elmore Leonard.

ReplyDeleteHorrible Bosses was funny
ReplyDeleteI loved Jennifer Aniston in Horrible Bosses!
ReplyDeleteHow did I not know about this movie with Jennifer Aniston. I must see it. I am not sure I can pick a favorite by her, though. As far as movies go, I really love her in Bruce Almighty and The Breakup, off the top of my head. But I really love her most in Friends.
ReplyDeleteMeet the Millers recently!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a Jennifer Aniston movie so I don't think I have a favorite
ReplyDeleteI have not seen Jennifer Aniston in her movies, but I loved her on Friends.
ReplyDeleteMeet the millers for sure! such a funny movie.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that she's been that great in movies really. 'Office Space' is that last time I remember her hitting the right pitch in a film. This really does look like a nice fit for her though, and I look forward to seeing it.

I have a hard time seeing Jennifer as NOT Rachel. It always surprises me when she busts out a character like The Good Girl.
ReplyDeleteI am able to see her as both. A college friend of mine hooked me on to "Friends" since she had the entire series on DVD, but I like her in movies also. :)
DeleteI'll go with Break-Up.
ReplyDeleteBruce Almighty! Because she was great in the movie!
ReplyDeleteRonald
I think my favorite movie of hers has to be The Break-Up.

i like we're the millers because it is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is "The Good Girl." I really liked it because she was a totally different character than "Rachel" on "Friends." That role made me completely forget her as 'Rachel" and I think that is important to actors, so they don't get type cast in the same roles over and over. I really wish she would do more independent films like that instead of all the rom-coms, which aren't often that good.
