GIVEAWAY: Flashfood returns to the Metro Detroit area {ends 11/3}

Back in May 2018, I posted on Instagram about Flashfood, the new box of surplus protein and produce.

Flashfood has since rebranded, and now it is an app whose goals are to reduce food waste at the grocery and feed people more affordably by cutting their grocery bill in half. They do this by selling food nearing its best buy date at crazy low prices (50% off).

They recently launched four pilot stores with Meijer in Commerce, Brighton, Waterford, and Howell.

Flashfood is made super easy to use, even for those who may not be tech-savvy. Once you’ve downloaded the Flashfood app on Apple or Android, you’ll get to browse food items at a store near you, pay for them on the app and pick up in-store at the Flashfood zone. Have customer service confirm your pick up and voila, you’re done.
