This was a busy week and this weekend will also be busy, as we are heading to Cincinnati sometime today for a memorial tomorrow.

Machi Koro 2 game |
What I've been up to this week:
- Going to Indiana. Last weekend (Friday through Sunday), my husband and I drove up to Indiana for a birthday get-together, as his birthday, plus my in-laws', are all in April and May. Even though I have a January birthday, I actually received a few gifts as well, including the board game Machi Koro 2, pictured above (Machi Koro, plus the expansions, is one of my favorites!). We also had Dairy Queen ice cream cake, which is another of my favorites—at a job I worked right after college (2009-12), it was a small office, so we'd always celebrate birthdays with that, and it was always delicious.
- Watching movies. I saw The Accountant 2 at the theater on Wednesday, at the Riviera, and it was good but had a very different vibe from the first one. I rewatched the first one the day before that, and would actually increase my review—in 2016, when it first premiered, I gave it 3.5/5 stars, and now I'd give it 4/5, as it was a really good origin story. This is more of a "buddy movie," as Jon Bernthal is back as the accountant's brother (and no Anna Kendrick, sadly) and I felt like the movie didn't really have a plot at times; however, overall I enjoyed it.
I also watched Another Simple Favor on Prime yesterday and thought it was very good—I'd give it 3.5/5 stars—and then followed that up with a rewatch of A Simple Favor, on Netflix, which I originally gave 5/5 stars to ... I would lower that to 4/5 stars but it's still excellent and worth seeing. Apparently it leaves Netflix in mid-May and my guess is it'll probably be going to Prime. - Watching TV shows. I've been continuing to watch The Handmaid's Tale, Government Cheese, Your Friends and Family, The Studio, Grosse Pointe Garden Society, Elsbeth, and Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage this week. I also binge-watched the new season of You on Netflix, which was good and IMO an appropriate ending for Joe Goldberg, although Janine from Handmaid's Tale being in this season was a trip, lol (so weird to see her without her eyepatch!). My husband and I also finished up How I Met Your Mother, which was bittersweet since I really enjoyed that show, and we have been watching Mobland and The Last of Us, both of which are very good dramas.
- Getting takeout. On Saturday, we got pizza from a place in Indiana with my in-laws, and on Sunday, we were too tired to cook so we got Thai Doordash delivery. Yesterday, I had a free pizza coupon from Green Lantern Pizza to use, so we also got pizza, but unfortunately the Southfield location doesn't deliver—which I don't entirely understand, we are about 5 miles away—so we did pickup instead. I'm glad that location is there though, because previously the closest was Berkley ... when I lived in Clawson, the Royal Oak takeout location was only a 5-minute drive so I was spoiled, lol. We got my free pizza (medium 1-topping, we got pepperoni) and also the John pizza, which has pepperoni, mushrooms, and green pepper. I always ask for the "round deep dish crust," too—it's not technically on the menu but it's basically two crusts stacked on top of one another, and it's amazing ... they are the only pizza place in Metro Detroit I know of that does this, too.
- Shopping for maternity clothes. On Tuesday, I had to do an Amazon return at Kohl's, so I looked to see if they have a maternity section ... they have a very, very small one, it was maybe three tables, and mostly was like yoga pants and tank tops -_-. Maurice's, one of my fave plus-size stores, does have a maternity section on their website, and I've ordered some things from them recently—however, I didn't know their Novi location permanently closed, I guess back in December, so that makes it difficult to return items that don't fit ... the closest one to me now would be White Lake or Brighton. I believe the Sterling Heights one closed recently too, since it was in the Lakeside Mall, which also closed.
