January went by super fast and super slow, all at once, somehow, and we are finally near the end. My husband and I took today off work to go to Frankenmuth for Snowfest, but between the cold weather and other things, it didn't happen ... instead we will do some local errands since we have the time.

| Monty Python's Spamalot at the Fisher |
What I've been up to this week:
- Taking care of a sick child (still). Last Wednesday, Baby K got sent home from daycare with a fever. We kept her out Thursday and Friday, and by Monday, she was a lot better—however, because of the weather and the snow, daycare decide to close, which left us in a bind since we both work. We ended up both working a half day and switching off childcare. She's a lot better now, though, which is good.
- Seeing Spamalot at the Fisher Theatre. Last night, a friend and I went to the Fisher to see Monty Python's Spamalot, which will be there for another few days. I am not a huge Monty Python fan but overall, it was fun.
- Getting takeout/delivery/dining out. Last Friday, we got Domino's delivered, because we have gift cards (Sam's has $100 worth for $75, great deal we always do, and I just looked it up and now it's $70 for $100!). On both Friday and Saturday, some of our "usual" places on Doordash were either charging a $2 fee because of the cold/snow, or weren't showing up at all because they're a bit further of a drive (looking at you, Noori and Pink Garlic ...). Just to test that, I put in my old condo address (much closer to both businesses) and they DID come up (boo). Instead, we got DD from El Patio, which does a pretty good chicken quesadilla that I like. On Tuesday, I went to House of Falafel in Southfield for lunch (more on that below), and last night, a friend and I grabbed a quick Jersey Mike's meal before our show at the Fisher, which was tasty.
- Yelp pick-up event at House of Falafel, Southfield. I have been to the House of Falafel in Farmington before—it's about a 15-minute drive from me, because it's more like Farmington center, vs. Farmington Hills—and now they have a new location in Southfield. I met a fellow Yelper friend for a quick lunch on Tuesday, and I had a chicken shawarma sandwich, which was delicious, plus they gave us some pita chips and their OMG sauce (hot sauce, garlic, and hummus, which you can mix together) to take home, plus some Yelp swag. It was nice to get out of the house and also have a hot meal, for a change (with a baby, that's not always possible ...) even though it was cold out that day.
- Watching TV shows and movies. One of my favorite guilty pleasure shows, Bridgerton, is back on Netflix—they dropped four new episodes yesterday, yay, and I'm on episode three—and I also continued watching Abbott Elementary, High Potential, and Tell Me Lies, another guilty pleasure show, on Hulu. I also finally watched Bugonia, on Peacock, which was WEIRD but pretty memorable (an Oscar nominee, with Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons, from Breaking Bad), and Zootopia 2, which honestly I thought was just okay—pretty disappointing because I LOVED the first one. That being said, I'll have a full review/giveaway up for that some point soon.
