It's been a long two weeks—last weekend was supposed to be the "fun" weekend where we went to Indiana (my husband for a bachelor party day, for a friend who is getting married, and then us both celebrating birthdays with my in-laws), but unfortunately Baby K had a fever that Friday, so we ended up staying put. This weekend is the "not fun" weekend, as I have colonoscopy prep ...

What I've been up to this week:
- Eating good food. Definitely eating whatever I want this week because I can't eat hardly anything Saturday, Sunday, and Monday due to prep ... we had Great Greek takeout a few days ago, I think maybe last weekend, and also Noori via Doordash. Last night we had Thai Fresh (in Northville) via Doordash as well, so I'll have some of those leftovers for lunch today, and on Wednesday night, we had Green Lantern, from the Southfield location—they sometimes send me free pizza or cheesy bread coupons via email, and they had sent me one for a free medium one-topping; we paired that with a small cheesy bread, and it was only $9 for dinner (plus it's one of my favorite pizzas in the Metro Detroit area).
- Not going to Indiana. Baby K threw up her post-wakeup morning feed on Friday morning, so we knew something was up. She had a temperature Friday through Saturday and then was fine by Sunday ... but we ended up not going to Indiana, just in case she continued being sick. Definitely a bummer, but she comes first, and we will do a virtual present-opening day with the in-laws on Memorial Day.
- Seeing The Devil Wears Prada 2 in theaters. I managed to sneak this one in (NOT when my child was sick, but after) and I liked it a lot, but unfortunately was also a little disappointed—I did an Instagram video about it here. It was a lot of fun seeing what all of the DWP characters were up to twenty years later, but everyone seemed way different/out of character, except Emily (Emily Blunt), at least to me. There is a fun celebrity cameo near the end, and I actually liked the second half more than the first. I will rewatch this movie at least once but I don't see myself rewatching it over and over like the first one (and maybe it didn't help that I did a rewatch a few days before seeing the new one, either).
- Streaming movies. A lot of good movies on HBO and other services right now—I finally got to see Marty Supreme, but it was a little too weird for me (I'd maybe give it 3/5 or 3.5/5) ... I also watched the new Wuthering Heights this week and surprisingly loved it (my SIL and I had been chatting about it and she was not a fan). I haven't seen *any* of the other WH film adaptations, and I don't think I've read the book, too, so that may have influenced it. Finally, I saw Hoppers via the digital code I was provided, and liked that one a lot—definitely a different type of Disney/Pixar movie but it made me laugh out loud quite a few times.
- Seeing Hamilton at the Fisher Theatre. This was technically last Thursday, not Friday, but I'll include it since I didn't do a Friday Five last week. This was my third time seeing it, and I think the cast was the best this time—I am a fan of Hamilton, although not a mega fan, and it is always a treat to see. It'll be at the Fisher until May 17, and I recommend it, especially if you've never seen it—I also recommend watching it on Disney+ with subtitles beforehand, because they talk/sing fast!
