Somehow July went by FAST and now it's July 24th. We are going to a BBQ later tonight which I've been looking forward to, and we made some homemade cornbread to bring, too.

| Latkes, sour cream, and applesauce from Whistle Stop, Bham |
What I've been up to this week:
- Getting Doordash and going out to eat. My husband and I got Noori via Doordash on Saturday and also yesterday—I usually get the same thing there, the sweet and mild sauce on boneless chicken with soy garlic dumplings and either a root beer or an orange soda (it's included in the combo), but on Saturday I got sweet and mild bone-in wings, which were okay but not as good as the boneless, and yesterday I got soy garlic boneless, which was tasty. On Sunday, Baby K and I met up with one of my friends at the Lodge, in Keego Harbor—my friend lives in Waterford and I chose this place since it was midway between us—and she slept for half of lunch, LOL, but otherwise it was fun. Finally, yesterday I was working at the office so I met a friend for lunch and we went to the Whistle Stop Diner, which was really nice; I had heard good things but hadn't been before. It's on the East side of Birmingham near Griffin Claw and Big Rock. I had latkes, which came with applesauce and sour cream, and also a side of bacon.
- Doctor appointments. Not that exciting, but had my first visit to a podiatrist ... I had been going to PT for a while now for back issues and also my foot, which has a nerve which tends to feel hot now and then. The podiatrist gave me a (cortizone, I think?) shot and I have to come back in three weeks for another. This was also my last PT which was a bit sad, I liked going each week and I think it helped me with some of my issues, but I had been going for a while so my instructor "graduated" me this week.
- Seeing friends. I saw one friend on Sunday for lunch, as I mentioned, and I snuck in a visit with another friend after the podiatrist appointment, as she lived in the area, which was nice; she had a gift for me from Taiwan, which she had visited recently, and I brought her some candies from my samples stash. I also saw another friend yesterday for lunch during work, as mentioned above.
- Watching TV shows. I started episode 3 of Lucky, on AppleTV, yesterday, but got to watch about 18 minutes (yes, I looked, lol) before the baby needed me; hopefully I'll finish it today. I saw the new Big Bang Theory spinoff has launched on HBO Max, and I watched like five minutes of that yesterday too—it's called Stuart Saves the Universe. The Ultimatum is back on Netflix and this season's crop of guys doesn't seem that great, but we'll see ... and Married at First Sight is new this week too, although I haven't watched it yet. I also watched one episode of the new season of Trying, on AppleTV, which was cute.
- Working at the office. I'm running out of stuff to say for a fifth bullet point here, so I'll add this one—we are required to work at the office once a month, so yesterday was the day I chose. Generally I will see if my Birmingham friend is free for lunch (and yesterday she was!), but if not I go to La Pecora Nera for a tasty sandwich. I also squeezed in a visit to Paris Baguette at the end of my day, but finding parking right on Old Woodward is hard and took me quite a while, which is why I usually walk there and back.
