Yes/No Detroit

This week has seemed rather long, for some reason, so I'm glad it's Friday.  Detroit-style pizza from Uncle Andy's Pizza What I've been up to this week: Getting takeout/dining out . Last Friday, I picked up some Uncle Andy's Pizza from their Orchard Lake Rd. location—a few years ago, they had a Clawson location, and always had Groupons available, so I was consistently getting their $20 Chicago-style deep dish pizza for $10, which was amazing. That location has since closed, but the Orchard Lake Rd. one is close to my fiance's house, in Farmington, so sometimes we do takeout. They had a free cheesy bread coupon, so we got the Detroit-style picture above and that for about $20, which wasn't too bad.  On Saturday, I met up with two friends at Crispelli's, in WB, for more pizza—they are two of the five friends going on my bachelorette party trip next month, and no one has met before, so this was an opportunity for them to meet each other. I've compiled this handy list for my readers so you can check out any and all that appeal to you. What is Restaurant Week? Restaurant Week is a magical time. Restaurants will frequently offer 3-course (and sometimes even 4-course) meals at a fraction of the normal price. I usually try to go out at least once for the area restaurant weeks, usually to an expensive-ish restaurant that I haven't tried yet and wanted to, because you are getting such good food at a discount. Recently I went to Gandy Dancer for Ann Arbor's restaurant week , which was $28 for a 3-course dinner, and very tasty. This was my fourth time at The Morrie—I've been twice during Royal Oak Restaurant Week, and one other time as a blogger —but the first time for brunch! I'm not really a "brunch girl" (my standard is cashew milk and Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast) but I do sometimes enjoy going out on a Saturday or Sunday for it. We had a group of about 12 bloggers, all eager to try The Morrie's brunch menu . I think a lot of people don't realize that The Morrie does brunch on Saturdays, since it wasn't very full at the time (11 am), but I've heard that on Sundays it's packed! Prices normally range from $23 to $28, but if you try it out this week (12/19-12/21), you can experience it for $18 . Here's how the room works: After entering a room with your team (up to 12 people), the door is locked behind you. You have 60 minutes  to solve the puzzles and escape from the room! You must work together to find clues and solve puzzles that will lead you to your escape The room is part scavenger hunt and part puzzle game Only about 20% of groups  are able to meet the challenge and escape in time!
