The Saturday Six, 1/20/24: 6 things I've been up to this week

Image
This is one of the rare times I was unable to post on Friday—we were in Vegas from Sunday until Friday, aka yesterday, and we got back around 10:30pm—so instead you get a Saturday Six roundup, vs. a Friday Five. Chihuly ceiling at the Bellagio, one of my favorite Vegas hotels What I've been up to this week: Trip to Vegas . We were there Sunday through Friday, which is a long time for Vegas, but we found a lot of fun things to do. Originally we had five nights comped at Paris, which is a nice hotel I haven't stayed at in a while (I believe I stayed there in 2001 or '02 with my parents, and also 2017 for work); we ended up paying a little extra to upgrade to a mini suite, and it was pretty nice.  Eating good food . Vegas is one of my favorite food cities, and it didn't disappoint this trip either! The most epic meal was probably our last one, at the new Peter Luger in Caesars Palace; there are only three locations in the U.S., the original being in Brooklyn, and this one ...

Vegas on the cheap: Using the myVegas app

Image
*Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. However, the opinions expressed here are my own. I recently visited Vegas last month, which was my first personal trip there since 2013 (I go about every 2 years or so for work, though), and this was also my first time redeeming rewards from the myVegas app. The app is free to download and to play, although you get more perks if you do spend some money in the app. First off, there are four apps to download: myVegas, Konami, myVegas Blackjack, and POP! Slots. You could choose to just download one, but I like to maximize my gold coins (or "Loyalty Points," as they are officially named) so that I can get more rewards. If you want to earn faster, checkout www.mypopslots.com and you will find free daily chips for all the different myVegas games! My favorites of these are the myVegas app and POP! Slots. Again, remember to grab your daily Pop Slots free chips and myVegas free chips ! My luck seems to be worse on Konami, and B...

The Friday Five, 9/13/19: 5 things I've been up to this week

Image
This week has been exhausting and I no longer know what time zone I'm in ... I think my body still thinks it's on Pacific time (3 hours behind the Midwest/East Coast) and I didn't fall asleep until 1:15am last night. So I should rest up this weekend, right? Nope ... headed to Ann Arbor with my boyfriend tonight and we are staying overnight, we wanted to do this last month but then he unexpectedly had to work. In-N-Out is my favorite for burgers! What I've been up to this week: Traveling . I was in Vegas from Sunday through Wednesday for IBIE, a bakery convention, and I'll be back in another 1.5 weeks (same hotel, too - Renaissance) for a packaging/equipment convention. I love Vegas and I hadn't been back since June 2017, though. The weather was super hot but I still ran around a bit after I was done working ... I saw KA at MGM Grand, which although impressive, wasn't really my cup of tea; I got food at a few of my favorite places including Giordano...
